Introducing Myself

My name is Jenny and I have been an avid long distance runner since the 7th grade. I enjoy the feel of the wind hit my face (no bugs please) and the change of scenery as I explore the outdoors. I personally love running and use it as a stress reliever as well as a way to stay active after competing in high school and in college. I am in no manner consider myself an expert or the best runner there is, but someone who simply enjoys the competition, the way it makes me feel, reaching goals and finding news strengths in myself that I did not know was there.

I am using this platform as a way to hold myself accountable because getting back in shape is tough for everyone whether you are new to the concept or if you are trying to get back into the swing of things. With school and work it has been difficult for me to make time to focus on running and exercising and that has made me very sad as someone who enjoys how it feels, so I believe this will encourage and help me personally. 

Additionally, I want to inform and encourage others that everyone struggles and encourage them to get out and be active in done manner they enjoy, whether it be running, lifting, or some other form of being active. I want to write about my personal journey along with the highs and lows, give recommendations of products I’ve used in the past, currently, or would like to try in the future. I also would like to update and inform others about races or athletic events in the area as well as providing profile stories of famous athletes or regular people I am close to who enjoy being active to gain more perspective of their stories.

I hope that by the end of the year I have at least encourage one person to try a product I recommended, get out and try something new, and to fall in love with exercising and being active.
